Carlisle United sponsors set to raise £90,000 for veterans’ charity
CARLISLE United kit sponsor Aqua Pura are set to raise £90,000 for Help for Heroes.
The Cumbrian society, based in Armathwaite, has announced a two-year extension to its partnership with the veterans’ charity.
The partnership, which started in 2021, has already raised £30,000 for the charity and aims to raise at least another £60,000 over the next two years.
Aqua Pura’s partnership with Help for Heroes will help the charity continue to provide a wide range of services to veterans, including financial support, career advice and assistance with physical or mental health.
Natasha Robertson, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Help for Heroes, highlighted how essential the funds are in supporting the goals of charities.
She said: “Life can be difficult when a military career comes to an end, especially if it has been cut short by illness or injury.
“That’s why we help the Armed Forces community not only with their physical health, but also with their mental well-being. Through our partnership with Aqua Pura, we will be able to help more people live well after service,” she continued.
Terri Cooper, Marketing Manager at Aqua Pura, also expressed her commitment to supporting Help for Heroes.
She said: “As a company, we are proud to partner with Help for Heroes. The charity is close to the hearts of many people here at Aqua Pura.
“In addition to working alongside a number of company veterans, many employees have family members, friends or former colleagues who have benefited from Help for Heroes’ incredible work.”
