Fieldstone Farm Therapeutic Riding Center Hosts Open Day for Veteran Community – News-Herald
The Fieldstone Farm Therapeutic Riding Center in Bainbridge Township will host its first open house for the veteran community from 3:30-7:30 p.m., July 1.
Active and military members, reservists, veterans, families and friends are invited, according to a press release. Activities will include tours of the facilities, a nature walk, demonstrations of driving, lunging and therapeutic riding; hands-on opportunities to groom horses and meet our mini-horses, a healing circle led by Warriors Journey Home, and family craft activities.
Community groups will also be present to share information and resources, and Geauga County Veterans Services will be present to verify and connect remedies, such as health benefits. Veterans Affairs will also confirm and connect individuals with resources, as well as support suicide awareness, prosthetic support and outreach engagement.
Anne Marie Concessions will be on site for the catering.
