Grand Island VA Medical Center to Host Open House for Veterans and Community | Grand Island Local News

The Grand Island VA Medical Center of the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System will host an open house at the hospital beginning at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25.

Open House is open to veterans, families and community members.

According to organizers, the event is designed to increase public awareness of the VA services offered at the Grand Island VA Medical Center by giving veterans and other members of the community the opportunity to meet with VA representatives, tour the facility and learn more about the services currently available on Grand Île.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in tai chi and yoga demonstrations given by the center’s entire healthcare staff, speak with representatives of the US Veterans Benefits Administration, learn more about the Veterans Transportation Service, meet with local Vet Center representatives, or view local veteran artwork submitted in conjunction with the National Veteran Creative Arts Festival.

“We look forward to seeing you at our open house event,” said Suzanne Hale, Grand Island VA Medical Center’s acting site manager.
